Marcin Ryczek, SYMBOLS - Fotografie
24.04.2015 do 17.06.2015
Marcin Ryczek is Polish photographer specializing in black and white, minimalist and symbolic photography. Minimum form, maximum content is the principle that characterizes his photos, as well as the use of metaphors that allows many kinds of interpretation.
Minimalistic and realistic scenery is a metaphor of such topics as freedom, peace, nostalgia, positive and negative aspects of life. The images are found in the real world, and their forms refer to geometry, simple lines and shapes. The photographs have a "graphic nature" but they are natural, without the use of graphics programs. They are made primarily in the black-and-white color scheme, which deepens their minimalism and is a tip of the hat to classic, traditional photography.
His images have been presented at exhibitions in USA (New York, Fort Collins, Miami), Denmark (Copenhagen), Holland (Amsterdam), Austria (Salzburg), South Korea (Seul), England (London), Romania (Cluje-Napoca), France (Paris), Poland, Germany, China, India …
